Antonio Nieto Rodriguez

Antonio Nieto-Rodriguez is widely regarded as the most influential thinker of the 21st century in modernizing project management and bringing it to the executive level. In his latest book, “Powered by Projects: Leading Your Organization in the Transformation Age” (HBR Press, 2026), and his HBR magazine article “The Project-Driven Organization” (Jan/Feb 2026), he provides a bold new framework for reinventing how organizations lead change, deliver value, and adapt to a world of continuous transformation.

With 35 contributions in Harvard Business Review—more than any other author on the topic—he is also the author of “The HBR Project Management Handbook” (HBR Press, 2021), the widely read HBR article “The Project Economy Has Arrived” (Nov/Dec 2021), and five other books focused on strategy execution, transformation, and modern project management.
Antonio has been recognized twice in the Thinkers50 list of the 50 most influential management thinkers in the world. He is a Fellow and former Chairman of the Project Management Institute (PMI), and currently serves as Vice President of the Association for Project Management (APM).

As founder of Projects & Co and co-founder of the Strategy Implementation Institute, he has created globally recognized certifications in artificial intelligence for project leaders and strategy implementation capabilities for organizations undergoing transformation.

His impact is measured in the leaders and organizations he has transformed: more than 80 companies advised and over 10,000 leaders and experts trained worldwide. Antonio works closely with senior leadership teams at companies such as Nestlé, Google, L’Oréal, Roche, Repsol, KLM, Saudia, AB InBev, ING, Euronext, and Moody’s, as well as with public-sector initiatives such as Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. His focus is on helping executives and organizations build transformation capabilities, shift culture, and execute complex change through highly impactful workshops, development programs, and executive coaching.

He is a frequent keynote speaker, having delivered over 600 presentations at global events, including TEDx, Gartner Summits, the European Business Summit, and President Summit. He teaches at top business schools, including Hult, Duke CE, IE Business School, Solvay, Vlerick, and Skolkovo.

Antonio is also a LinkedIn Learning instructor with over ten courses and the author of the LinkedIn newsletter “Lead Projects Successfully.”
Originally from Madrid, he has lived and studied in Germany, Mexico, Italy, and the United States. He speaks five languages and holds an MBA from London Business School, as well as completing the INSEAD International Directors Program. He is a proud member of the Marshall Goldsmith 100 Coaches.
