ANR Newsletter #1

Welcome to my newsletter!
Good day, and welcome to my first monthly newsletter discussing the latest trends in project leadership and strategy implementation.
Most of us are flooded with huge numbers of emails, newsletters, and blog posts each and every day. With that in mind, my goal is to make this newsletter different: insightful, engaging, and to the point. In each month’s edition, I plan to share only those thoughts and stories that I have found personally useful to grow professionally.
By offering a fresh view on recent developments in our field, I hope to create a source of inspiration that helps you excel in your job, progress in your career, and hopefully help us create a better world.
I am honored to start with 45,000+ subscribers, and I have no doubt that each of you has a story to share. Please do not hesitate to share that story with me—or to write to me at any time—and I promise I will reply!
This first issue includes links to my first Harvard Business Review article on prioritization; an interview with the founders of Thinkers50; and the analysis of an important project at risk, the Berlin Brandenburg Airport.
I’d like to leave you with a quote from Tom Peters that I found to be spot-on:
“Listening is the activity with the highest ROI.”
Stay well, stay focused, and thanks for reading.

2. Leader’s View – Thinkers50
Views of business leaders, politicians, academics and other personalities.

I had the pleasure of interviewing Stuart Crainer and Des Dearlove, who in 2001 founded Thinkers50, the first-ever global ranking of management thinkers.

3. Project Focus – Berlin Airport
What lessons can we learn from noteworthy projects that failed or were delivered successfully.

It is rare to see a project of such size as Berlin Airport to fail, specially in Germany, a country known by its effectiveness, efficiency and planning capabilities.
